Olds College Signs a Letter of Intent with WeMaple

CALGARY, Alberta, and Olds, Alberta – Dec 19 2023 – Business on Camera (BOC), award-winning marketing and communications company, has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Olds College, leading institution in groundbreaking agricultural technology, to produce a short documentary film as a part of WeMaple Season 3.

This intention paves the way for deeper cooperation between Olds College, and the WeMaple documentary series. The signing of the LOI provides a framework for both sides to identify collaborative opportunities and joint development of the 10-minute film. Furthermore, it gives the opportunity for Olds College to leverage WeMaple’s advanced media ecosystem and robust creative team.

WeMaple started as a grassroots effort to celebrate amazing achievements of Canadians for the country’s 150th anniversary in 2017 through creative visual narratives. Since then, the WeMaple series has expanded to focus on stories of innovation, excellence, and perseverance across the nation. WeMaple Season 3 illuminates the true potential of collaborative intelligence and the power of technological advancements.

“Olds has been such a fantastic partner. During our tour of the college, we learned so much about the integration of technology into agriculture, including AI, and it’s very exciting,” says WeMaple Founder Matt Keay.

“Olds College is home to state-of-the-art agriculture technology, and it’s taking a leadership role in the future of farming and human nutrition. We believe that a story showcasing this is not only pivotal for sustainability, but for demonstrating the integral role Alberta plays in global agricultural markets,” states Vice President of Development at Olds College Todd Ormann.
