Clean Communities Corporation (CCC) Signs Cooperation Agreement with WeMaple

CALGARY, Alberta, and WINNIPEG, Manitoba – Oct. 17, 2023 – Business on Camera (BOC), award-winning marketing and communications company, has signed an agreement with Clean Communities Corporation (CCC), leading Indigenous cleantech company to produce a series of episodes capturing remarkable stories about people involved in infrastructure, energy, and transportation projects; WeMaple Season 3.

The agreement paves the way for deeper cooperation between the BOC and CCC following several introductory and exploratory meetings between the Alberta and Manitoba companies. The ceremonial signing of the strategic cooperation agreement provides a framework for both sides to identify collaborative opportunities for joint development and will enable CCC to leverage BOC’s advanced media ecosystem and robust creative team.

WeMaple started as a grassroots effort to celebrate amazing achievements of Canadians for the country’s 150th anniversary in 2017 through creative visual narratives. Since then, the WeMaple series has expanded to focus on stories of innovation, excellence, and perseverance across the nation. WeMaple Season 3 illuminates the true potential of inclusion, and the power that comes from collaborative intelligence and technology.

As responsible stewards of public funds, BOC has a 100 percent success rate with Federal and Provincial grant funding for film and television.  Our social enterprise model brings value to private businesses and delivers award-winning documentary films, raising awareness on key social issues.

The collaboration has already generated a significant amount of confirmed financing in the private sector, with additional funds pending in public dollars.

“We are strengthening our relations with our friends and allies at CCC every day. We are working to further develop our cooperation in the fields of the media, clean technology, infrastructure, youth, and take it to the next level,” said BOC CEO Matt Keay.

“We believe our partnership with BOC will be very fruitful for both sides and is an important step for Indigenous storytelling and highlighting CCC’s technological and clean energy development projects,” adds Jody Linklater, CCC CEO.
